THE HISTORY
OF TWIN PIGGS
Twin Piggs Spirit Co. was born from a dream shared by twin brothers, Antonio and Saverio Gerbi.
Born and raised in Stellenbosch to Italian parents, the brothers developed a deep appreciation for family, tradition, good food and fine spirits. Inspired by their Italian heritage and a passion for craftsmanship, they dreamed of producing their own authentic Grappa – known locally as Husk Spirit – using traditional methods and natural ingredients.
Friends and family simply knew them as “The Twins”, and from this nickname the name Twin Piggs was born.
Tragically, Saverio passed away in 2022. Determined to honour his brother’s memory and their shared vision, Antonio continued the journey and established Twin Piggs Spirit Co.

The Passion for spirits
What began as a passion project centred around Grappa evolved into a boutique craft distillery producing premium small-batch Gin, Rum, Limoncello, Eau de Vie and Brandy.
Today, every spirit produced by Twin Piggs reflects the same philosophy that inspired the original dream: quality over quantity, patience over shortcuts, and authenticity above all else.
Premium Quality
Production is intentionally limited to no more than 350 individually numbered bottles per batch, often considerably fewer depending on the spirit. This ensures complete control over quality while maintaining true small-batch craftsmanship.
We believe exceptional spirits begin with exceptional ingredients. We use only natural ingredients and never add artificial flavourings. Our Limoncello is crafted using fresh lemons grown on our family property, with both the skins and juice contributing to its vibrant flavour and aroma.
Many of our spirits spend months, and in some cases years, maturing patiently in oak barrels before they are ready to be enjoyed. Great spirits cannot be rushed.
Every bottle carries a story of family, heritage, craftsmanship and perseverance. It is a tribute to two brothers, one shared dream, and a commitment to producing premium South African spirits with character, authenticity and soul.
